| Why am I always the friend? The guy I talked about in my last entry likes another girl (an ex). Right now I'm giving him advice because they had a fight and wants to make it up to her. I know he said he didn't know what he wanted but I did get my hopes up some that there might be a little something but it sounds like there's something more serious with this girl. He still likes her and she still likes him. I always say it so I'll say it again I can't keep doing this to myself. Guys are just so frustrating and never know what they want. I'm gonna go finish wrapping presents and wallow some. I love this time of year but it's also the worst for many reeasons. | | |

Hey! I think I'm going to start writing on this blog again...at least over break since I have no work to do which is awesome. I read my last entry and I don't remember who I was talking about. Oh I remember now lol.
I'm so glad that it's break. No work. I can just relax. Tonight was our neighborhood bonfire which is always fun. They build a big bonfire in the open space near my house and there's hot chocolate and it's fun to see people you haven't seen in awhile. I hung out with my dad's assistant's daughter (Kelsey) who also works at my dad's office. I've known her since she was three and now she's a senior in high school. We played with her cousin Alyssa and Josh and some of Alyssa's friends. She's in 4th grade. There's this boy Henry who seems like quite the little ladies' man. Apparently, he likes Alyssa and Alyssa says she doesn't like him but I'm pretty sure she does and then some of her friends like him too. He was at the bonfire so Kelsey and I kept dragging her to talk to him. She got so mad at us lol. The sad thing I realized that eventhough I'm in college the whole "courting" thing hasn't changed that much. The only difference is that in college usually a party and alcohol is involved. Alyssa got really upset so we stopped but it was still fun. I hurt my nose again. I was giving Josh a piggyback ride and I tripped over one of Alyssa's friend and went flying facedown on the ground. Josh thought it was fun cause he went flying and wanted to do it again. I cut my nose from my glasses but fortunately they didn't break. I need to get a noseguard.
There's a different guy from the one I was talking about in the last post. Let me list the reasons why I like him but I shouldnt:
1. He's a freshman.
2. He's a professor's son (I've never had her but I was on a committee with her this semester).
3. He went out with this girl I'm kind of friends with at he begining of the year.
4. He was the deputy field director for the Lancaster County Democratic Party for the past election.
Reasons Why I Like Him:
1. He challenges me with what I really believe politically.
2. He's generally easy to talk to.
3. He's fun to hang out with.
4. He's a really good kisser.
5. He's really cute and about as tall as me.
Yes, I know how good of a kisser he is. Last Friday night, we went to Skull. Well we were supposed to go together but he never called so my friend who we will call Julie and I went. While we were there he called me back so he came. When he first got there I was a little out of sorts cause I had had one drink and it was a lot stronger than I had expected. All three of us went to dance but then he wanted to go downstairs to get a beer. He drove so he only had one. Then we went back upstairs and then he wanted to go back down. When we went back down two freshmen girls came up to him and were like oh I like your glasses oh I like your sweater. He started talking to one of them (Meredith) and the other girl (Rachel) (I think those names are common enough that I don't need to change them) started asking me questions about him. She whispered in my ear that she would "totally do him and so would her friend." I whispered in her ear that I kinda liked him and that I had invited him there. She then told me to go for it and another girl who had come up who also likes him told me to go for it. A guy who I'm friends with and his also friends with helped me out by going up and starting to talk to him and then I went over. Meredith had given him her cellphone number. Rachel then pulled Meredith away to tell her what was going on. I asked him if he wanted to dance and he said that Meredith had asked him to dance. So he went over to talk to her and she had the most confused look on her face. He asked her to dance and she said yes and then he asked me to dance and I said yes. He said he would meet me and Julie upstairs so we went but he never followed. Carolyn went back downstairs and got him upstairs. We started dancing and Julie slyly walked away. So we were dancing together and we started talking about hook-ups and such. We kissed (I think I was the one who initiated it but he definitely kissed back) and then I laughed. I'm not exactly sure why I laughed but I think it was because I'm not very experienced with this sort of thing and surprised that it actually worked out. Obviously he asked me why I laughed and I said I didn't know. He then informed me that Meredith had told him that she didn't wanna get in the way because she thought I might like him. He asked if it was true and I was like well. He told me just to tell him the truth so I told him I did and that it was okay if he didn't like me back. He said he had thought about it but that he doesn't really know what he wants. I said that was fine and we "made-out" and danced some more. He asked if I was ready to leave and we asked Julie is she was ready to leave but she wasn't. So I started dancing with her and he started talking to some other people. I then saw Meredith walk up to him and they started walking towards where the coats were. I forgot to say that earlier he told me that she had asked him back to her room which really freaked him out. He's about as confused about the whole hooking-up thing as I am. Anyways, Julie and I followed them and he was going to give her, Rachel, and his friend who likes him a ride back. Rachel told me to go for it and I told her we had made out. She and Rachel stayed a little longer and the other friend said she would too. I don't think he realized that this wasn't a coincidence. One of the frat brothers who we know said that he could walk Julie home. So he gave me a ride home and we kissed some more in his car. I asked him if he wanted to come in (we had discussed earlier that it wasn't going to go any further than kissing) but we had a cat in the house and he's very allergic. Also, it was really late at that point. He told me he didn't want to lead me on which he isn't. We kissed goodnight. Fortunately he didn't come in because when I walked in my roommates were watching a ummm movie with their rubgy coach. So we're friends but I don't know if we'll "hook-up" again or if it was just a one time thing. Apparently he used to tell people that he would never kiss, like, or have a relationship with a girl who was Republican. So I think that's another thing that's confusing him. As I rold him "I'm broadening his horizons." During finals week we didn't talk very much which made me nervous but since finals are over it seems like he isn't trying to avoid me or anything. I hope that at least we can be friends.
I think I'm getting a cold so I'm gonna go take a bath and hopefully go to sleep early. I'm going to be trying different contacts so hopefully these will work *crosses fingers*. Good night! | | |
